The factory warranty that comes with all units when purchased new only covers the part. It does not cover labor or associated cost like shipping, trip charges, warranty processing, refrigerant, etc. These later items can and usually does cost more and sometimes far more that the part that is covered under the manufacturers warranty.
Extended Warranty - covers labor and associated costs to make the repair. Factory Warranties covers ONLY parts associated with the repair. We highly recommend purchasing an Extended Labor Warranty with your new air conditioner.
